[opensource-dev] being forced to upgrade to "2.1 Alpha" release

Some users report they were forced to download the 2.0.2, "2.1 Alpha" release. Is it correct to assume this only happens to those who had installed a previous Beta release, and that this does NOT happen to those who only used 'stable' 2.x releases? This Alpha has a lot of great improvements but
