Let me add info of another PIC programmer, it's called USB PIC Prog (

- It's open source (SW and HW)
- You can build the HW or buy it (20€)
- Works over USB
- Works on Windows, Mac and Linux
- Graphical or command line interface
Maybe the weakest point is not being able to operate as debugger but as a
programmer works nicely.
