In gpasm/Makefile.am you should replace "flex" with "$(LEX)" or "flex $(AM_LFLAGS)" with "$(LEXCOMPILE)". Older versions of FreeBSD ship with an older version of flex so when a newer version is required we need to do "./configure LEX=/path/to/new/flex". You don't have to do a new release for this by the way. Just include it in the next one.
