Hi again!
I just wanted to update, that I think I have found and fixed the problem
after a lot of pulling my hair.
It seems the local static variables are not initialized properly, I guess
this is a known issue in the PIC14 port (just not by me...) They were moved
to global scope and it seems to work better.
Thanks for the tip on reading/writing to port/latch though, I'll look into
that.
