Hi Tijl,
I think we already had a similar problem on spark platforms. That's why
there is sparc.h file in include/opcode directory. I already added
ia64.h in svn revision #8144. Can you please try it and report the result?
Please fill the bug report anyway so that this change will remain
documented. I'll close the bug immediately if addition of ia64.h solves
the problem.
P.S.: It would be interesting to add IA64 architecture to the SDCC
Distributed Compile Farm. Is there a possibility to share one of your
"ia64 boxes"?

Hello Tijl,
I know nothing in particular about ia64 or FreeBSD, but is there any
chance this is related to this (closed) bug report?

If not, please file a new bug report in our tracker at sourceforge.

Hi,
I'm the current maintainer of the FreeBSD package of sdcc. A user sent
me this build error on ia64. Can you take a look at this?
Thanks
Tijl

Hi
http://pointyhat.freebsd.org/errorlogs/ia64-errorlogs/e.9.20120916093935/sdcc-3.2.0_2.log
elf64-ia64.c:27:25: error: opcode/ia64.h: No such file or directory
gmake[5]: *** [elf64-ia64.lo] Error 1
I guess this port is specifically
not for ia64? Maybe you should mark
it NOT_FOR_ARCH=ia64.
Alternatively, if you think it could/should
build on ia64, please advise on build
options. I'll then try building it
on my own ia64 boxes.
Thanks
Anton
