Well, unification seems more improtant than a minor compability problem
that only affects the Z80 (a similar thing was done by dropping the
broken support for 'bool' some time ago). And ease of using anewer
asxxxx seems to be and added bonus.
However I sometimes wonder if it I should look at supporting the GNU
binutils as well.
