Thanks all
My target is a PIC 16F690 so I did get the right tar ball for my Ubuntu 8.10
I now get it to compile and link :+)
Now to write real code and then find a way to get it onto the Pic with my
PicKit2. (Without resorting to Windows as that would be too easy)
