I have I2C (and Hitachi LCD) routines developped for the 87C552 and the Silabs C8051 at http://www.ko4bb.com/sourcecode/8051/
The source module includes code for a bit-banged version if your processor of choice does not have an I2C transceiver. The routines support master mode only. Didier
