Jörg,

thank you for the reply, I too came to that conclusion but not before I had
spent some time.
I wish people had the decensy of at least putting a date of last update on
their site
if they cannot be bothered say it in plain english that the project is dead.

Thanks for the commandline, had I been able find something like that yesterday I
might have saved couple of hours. And thank you for the offer contact you
directly
I may take you up on it one of these days.

hi Kustaa,

sdcc-m08 is presumeably dead. some time ago i played with it, contacted the
developer as well. there's no more developement in this, it was a side project
of something.

i guess you are looking for a compiler for the hc08. so did i, compiling sdcc
with all other ports disabled.
at last i can't confirm your faults. an example command line (just compile,
remote computer has some problems at the moment):

bin/sdcc -I. --stack-loc 0x044F --data-loc 0x0050 -mhc08 --out-fmt-s19
--verbose -V --debug -S -c main.c

results in map file with data section start at 0x0050. however, i'm using an
older version of sdcc (snapshot20070303). if remote access works correctly, i
might be able to check out the actual release. but i don't assume any changes
in between that might have broken linkage.

feel free to contact me directly. it's some time ago i worked with the sdcc and
hc08, but it was fun.

bye Jörg
