Summary: screen+cgdb fails to show correctly C characters Project: GNU Screen Submitted by: vlachoudis Submitted on: Tue 08 Jan 2019 02:00:21 PM UTC Category: None Severity: 3 - Normal Priority: 5 - Normal Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: 4.6.2 Fixed Release: None Planned Release: None Work Required: None _______________________________________________________ Details: When I run "cgdb" to debug a program through screen having LC_ALL=C.UTF-8 enabled the "drawing" characters rendered wrongly like the attached image (wrong.png) instead of the (correct.png). The issue doesn't happen without screen directly in xterm. The "xterm" has utf8 enabled I am enabling "utf8 on" on screenrc. I've tried also to enable "screenrc" "term xterm" where garbage characters appear on the screen. _______________________________________________________ File Attachments: ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Tue 08 Jan 2019 02:00:21 PM UTC Name: wrong.png Size: 26KiB By: vlachoudis <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/download.php?file_id=45904> ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Tue 08 Jan 2019 02:00:21 PM UTC Name: correct.png Size: 26KiB By: vlachoudis <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/download.php?file_id=45905> _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?55422> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
