Follow-up Comment #1, bug #42303 (project screen):
I've looked a bit into it (in 4.0.3, 4.2.0 and 4.2.1 where it all behaves in
same way to me).
I've even read manpage twice, but am still not entirely sure how it is
supposed to behave, unless it's completely broken on my system :-(. Which may
also explain why it's broken for you on 4.2.1 if you don't run autogen.sh
(I've included ./configure in this release).
So, can you give me some reproducible list of steps?
Also could you try with ./autogen.sh in 4.2.1 and check if it fixes it?
Looking at commit list between 4.2.0 and 4.2.1 I don't really see anything
that would've broken it.
