Summary: Increase maximum maxwidth value to 511 Project: GNU Screen Submitted by: None Submitted on: Wed 08 May 2013 05:03:37 PM UTC Category: Feature Request Severity: 3 - Normal Priority: 5 - Normal Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: Cur Dev Sources Fixed Release: None Planned Release: None Work Required: None _______________________________________________________ Details: I noticed a problem while playing around with the hardstatus option of .screenrc. When trying to use the %= option, I found that "right-aligned" text was aligning 15 columns to the left of where the right boundary should have been. My terminal size was 270 columns wide, and so this turns out to be exactly 255 characters. I see in resize.c the line wi = ((wi + 1) + 255) & ~255; I believe increasing 255 to 511 is a reasonable solution to this problem. I have attached my suggestion for patching this file. _______________________________________________________ File Attachments: ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Wed 08 May 2013 05:03:37 PM UTC Name: 0001-Increase-maximum-maxwidth-value-to-511.patch Size: 1kB By: None Attaching my suggested patch for the problem. <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/download.php?file_id=28046> _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?38940> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
