In fact, it started life on Linux, so it shouldn't be hard to port. The
only bit that is likely to be OS dependent is the serial interface. One
thing: the FIFO needs disabling (and any internal FIFOing in the OS,
which I believe is a popular pastime) to get anything but incredibly
slow performance. I haven't got around to modifying the FreeBSD (where I
do my development) drivers to do this, but I will one day. Anyway, I'm
happy to help anyone with serious interest in developing the drivers
further (which do a good deal more than reading the serial number - more
info available if desired).

BTW, how does one subscribe to sclinux?
