Hi,

I uploaded a driver for the Gemplus GemCore readers. This includes many
of the Gemplus serial readers like the GCR-410. The driver includes an
IFD Handler to work with the PC/SC infrastructure.

Intertex has a working PCMCIA smartcard reader/modem for laptops that also
has a working Linux driver. It can also be found on the drivers page.

I will be releasing a Java API soon that can remotely call on the resource
manager. It will work on Windows and Macintosh also. It will be the
first steps in creating an interoperability layer between PC/SC and OCF.
Again, I will be releasing the stable release of the resource manager soon
also. All of this should be done by the end of this week.

This raises an important question In a model where clients can connect to
a variety of Resource Managers located anywhere there needs to be some
sort of security model taken here to restrict connections. Currently you
can restrict to certain users on the local machine by setting permissions
on the object ID. I suppose a correct naming service will take care of
some of these issues........ Any ideas ?

Thanks,
Dave
