Ok, good news. I went to the Linux Expo and showed smart cards working
under Linux with a PAM interface. I've been off rewriting the previously
terrible driver for the Reflex. The new driver should be on the web in
about 1 week or so along with full (nice) documentation. Here's the even
better news. Anything that we make as a team that is useful will be
included in the next release of RedHat 5.2 later on this year. I should
have a PAM module and the driver. I know of someone working on plugins
for Netscape also. I will get the PAM module on the web also shortly
after I stabalize the new reader driver. I'm also pretty close to
having support for a PCMCIA card reader. If we can come up with some nice
security software such as personalization tools etc. then Linux will be
the first and best available smart card support OS supporting single sign
on around. Not to mention that it will also be included in Corel's NC
Network Computer. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks
Dave
