This is because mp3 metadata are sent via the (hackish) icy protocol: https://cast.readme.io/docs/icy Also noteworthy, historical clients expect latin1 encoding for those with no reasonable way to specify another encoding.. > Third an last one: > Can liquidsoap connect its output source directly to the SSL port of an icecast server?
