Follow-up Comment #13, task #6965 (project administration):
Hello again,
I added the missing copyright notices to the original fbi files, even though
they didn't contain any copyright notice:
So I added a notice styled like the following one:
" (c) 2007 New Maintainer
(c) 1998-2006 Old Maintainer
This program is free software..."
Please see src/fbi_src/filter.c in the repository for an example.
"If you make it clear that it's a different project, so there's no confusion,
that'd be ok."
Yes, I wrote this ('my') program named 'fim' although I didn't know
https://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/fim, by another author, already existed
and was registered.
"In principle I've checked all the issues. Unless there's something I missed,
you should be OK with your upcoming updated release."
Maybe the project name is the last remaining problem: my package
(and the binary file) is still named 'fim', not 'fiv', as the proposed
"System Name" for Savannah.
If it is not a problem (although it gives rise to confusion), i would like to
keep all of the files in the package named 'fim' and not rename all massively
to 'fiv'.
