_______________________________________________________ Follow-up Comment #3: That was very silly of me to suggest the using the git server's printmyip when we knew we were locating the IP address that was banned! My bad in the extreme! I blame my lack of sleep. Both of those addresses were in the block list. I have unblocked both of them. I have added them to the allow list so that they won't be listed again. Almost certainly the problem is mobile cell ISPs that are using CG-NAT where multiple subscribers are sharing the same public IP address via NAT. I am thinking that we will have to scan for addresses that have made valid git interactions and add them into an allow list and then when we find addresses that are abusing the system that we must assume that it is on a shared IP address. It opens up a bypass for the malicious user but then we must block them in another way. Again thank you for opening this ticket and communicating with us! Please keep in touch and do not hesitate to contact us for these problems! _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.nongnu.org/support/?111179> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.nongnu.org/
