I looked. I can reproduce the problem by attempting to use the Approval UI for a pending member request. I was able to add myself to the group using an administrative control available to me as a Savannah administrator. If you would like to confirm the savannah user names to add in a ticket to the Admin project I can take on that manual solution while we await further discussion. I believe this may be a regression, I'm expecting others from the team to comment; however, I can look a little deeper myself in a day or three if that doesn't happen.
