Hi,

As suggested by Stefan Kangas, I am sending a problem report. I recently tried to request inclusion in the Emacs group, but the search for "emacs" only returns the "elisp-es" group. Please see below the list of steps I followed and what happened. According to Stefan, when he follows the same steps, he gets the same results as well.

Thanks,
Adam Porter

Hi Adam,

[Sorry for the late reply here.]

Adam Porter <a...@alphapapa.net> writes:

Something strange seems to be going on, then. AFAICT, this is all the
result of my following the instructions on Savannah. That is:

1. Visit <https://savannah.gnu.org/project/memberlist.php?group=emacs>.

2. At the top of the page, it says, "If you would like to contribute to
this project by becoming a member, use the request for inclusion form."
So I click that "request for inclusion" link, which points to
<https://savannah.gnu.org/my/groups.php?words=emacs#searchgroup>.

3. On the next page, under "Request for Inclusion," I see:

Below is the result of the search in the groups database.

To request inclusion in one or several groups, check the boxes,
write a meaningful message for group administrator who will approve or
discard the request, and submit the form.

Una Introducción a Emacs Lisp en Español.

Now, since sending the request to that group, in the list under
"Requests for inclusion waiting for approval", I see a link entitled
"Una Introducción a Emacs Lisp en Español." which points to
<https://savannah.gnu.org/projects/elisp-es/>.

So somehow the group search for "emacs" is returning only the "elisp-es"
group, and its underlying "elisp-es" name is only visible after sending
the inclusion request.

Not that this is your problem, but I'd be grateful for advice on how to
proceed. :)

Hmm, I see the same as you after step 3, and I also can't find the Emacs
group there. Something seems off, or I'm missing something too.

Could you send the above report to the Savannah admins? I believe they
can be contacted at savannah-hackers@gnu.org

Best regards,
Stefan Kangas
