Summary: Comments including Unicode characters outside BMP (e.g., emoticons) are garbled Project: Savannah Administration Submitted by: mmuetzel Submitted on: Sat 26 Feb 2022 02:27:17 PM CET Category: Savannah trackers - bugs, tasks, etc. Priority: 5 - Normal Severity: 3 - Normal Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Email: Operating System: None Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any _______________________________________________________ Details: If comments contain Unicode characters outside the BMP (like e.g., emoticons), the entire comment is displayed as a sequence of unrecognizable ASCII characters. E.g.: https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/index.php?61821#comment3 This also messes with the layout of all other comments in that report. That was working before. (Maybe a week ago.) All characters including emoticons could be used and were displayed correctly. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.nongnu.org/support/?110616> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.nongnu.org/
