I think there is a misunderstanding. Right now *before* there is a history of
significant contribution it is easy to change the user name. But *after* you
have significant contribution such as requesting joining groups or other then
it becomes more problematic.
Therefore if you wish to change your username please tell us what username you
would change it to now. Please do not wait.
