Looking at http://savannah.gnu.org/maintenance/UsingGit/
it is very unclear what the process is for a dev to begin using git with a
previous CVS repo. The steps for *using* git as a developer appear first, and
there's no warning that before using git, you should disable CVS and enable
git on the project admin page.
I would like to offer to help with this documentation.
