Details:

I have been trying to connect my Garmin GPSmap 60CSx to my laptop acer aspire
5750G running Ubuntu 12.04 for a few days now without success and rather think
it may be a simple but not obvious problem. I do not seem to have a
/dev/ttyUSB0 seems one of the big hurdles. I have tried to follow what ever
instructions I could find on the internet all without success. See the
attached file. The GPS says it is connected and running NMEA at 4800 baud.
It reports that it is 091e:0003 Garmin International GPS (various) but
usbserial doesn't seem to be running. Please let me know if further
information is required.
