Summary: Unable to connect Garmin 60CS GPS to laptop USB running Ubuntu 12.04 Project: Savannah Administration Submitted by: geesona Submitted on: Sat 02 Feb 2013 15:23:43 GMT Category: Trackers (bugs, support, tasks...) Priority: 5 - Normal Severity: 3 - Normal Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Email: ag200...@gmail.com Operating System: GNU/Linux Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any _______________________________________________________ Details: I have been trying to connect my Garmin GPSmap 60CSx to my laptop acer aspire 5750G running Ubuntu 12.04 for a few days now without success and rather think it may be a simple but not obvious problem. I do not seem to have a /dev/ttyUSB0 seems one of the big hurdles. I have tried to follow what ever instructions I could find on the internet all without success. See the attached file. The GPS says it is connected and running NMEA at 4800 baud. It reports that it is 091e:0003 Garmin International GPS (various) but usbserial doesn't seem to be running. Please let me know if further information is required. _______________________________________________________ File Attachments: ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Sat 02 Feb 2013 15:23:43 GMT Name: gps.txt Size: 7kB By: geesona <http://savannah.gnu.org/support/download.php?file_id=27368> _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/support/?108244> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
