Summary: How to see messages sent to other users? Project: Savannah Administration Submitted by: Stevan_White Submitted on: Tue 20 Dec 2011 11:45:24 PM CET Category: Mail server Priority: 5 - Normal Severity: 3 - Normal Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Email: Operating System: None Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any _______________________________________________________ Details: On the pages of other users, like https://savannah.gnu.org/users/<username> there is an interface "Send a message to...". I have used this, but have problems with its intended purpose. The first problem is, I sent someone a message, and they didn't respond, and claim they didn't get it. I wanted to tell them when I had sent the message, but I find no interfaces for seeing sent messages (My Items perhaps... no). Now I'm wondering, what purpose does this serve? Is it possible that some users don't give outside e-mail addresses? If not, then I see no point in the thing at all. But suppose that is just the point, that some users prefer not to give outside e-mail addresses. Then this mechanism should at least provide basic services one expects of a web e-mail interface, such as seeing sent messages. Thanks! _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/support/?107914> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
