Summary: Unable to "git push --force" a HEAD change to my repository. Project: Savannah Administration Submitted by: kkylheku Submitted on: Thu 27 Oct 2011 08:21:39 AM PDT Category: Developer Source Code Repositories Priority: 5 - Normal Severity: 4 - Important Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Email: Operating System: None Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any _______________________________________________________ Details: I would like to reset to an earlier commit in my GIT project. But "git push --force" is being rejected. Evidently, I need to edit the .git/config file to allow this. But there is no SSH access. SSH says "VCS commands are allowed", but for any command I try, it is rejected. How can I edit the .git/config file to allow the forced push? _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/support/?107857> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
