Follow-up Comment #2:
This is a problem with the email commit script. It used to send emails from
the savannah user's actual email address (which likely was a member of the
mailing list)
After the recent architecture changes, apparently this script started sending
mail as ${username}@vcs.savannah.gnu.org.
I need to fix the script.
