Summary: GNU patch: push rejected (non-fast-forward) Project: Savannah Administration Submitted by: agruen Submitted on: Sun 02 May 2010 04:49:49 PM CEST Category: Developer CVS Priority: 5 - Normal Severity: 3 - Normal Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Email: Operating System: None Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any _______________________________________________________ Details: The Savannah git repository of GNU patch has a server-side check which rejects non-fast-forward updates. I can see why this check exists for the master branch, but it makes far less sense for most other branches like "testing", which I'm using for things which are not stable, yet. (I do know about the consequences of rebasing.) To agr...@git.sv.gnu.org:/srv/git/patch.git ! [rejected] testing -> testing (non-fast-forward) Could the non-fast-forward check please be disabled, at least for the non-master branches? Thanks! _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/support/?107353> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
