Follow-up Comment #2, sr #106489 (project administration): Hi,
Thank you for resolving the item, and hiding the information from public view. The issue is that the link refers to a site that is used by bible translators. If this link is seen coming from from Bibledit, an editor for the Bible, then a country's Security Services can understand from there that that site will be about bible translation too. There are certain areas in the world where having a bible, or translating one is a capital offense or at least a criminal offense. If the security service of such countries track the internet usage of foreigners, or if their seized computers are found with links to that site, then they just google for the name of the site, and find links to this site and then deduct that the foreigner under surveillance is related in forbidden activities. Unknowingly I had placed the link on the issue tracker, and yesterday got a request from a Bible translation agency in the USA to remove that link. Regards, Teus. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/support/?106489> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
