I can't speak for others, but the principles of gnu and free software are
certainly the primary motivating factors (except for the perceived anti-c++
attitude it sometimes has) for going with Savannah. When sourceforge made
their change I vowed to not lock any more projects in with them for any
reason. Unfortunately, deadlines placed by outside factors are making the
transition difficult.
I certainly appreciate what is being done here and the volunteers that make
it possible. I will hold out as long as I can. Thanks.
