Follow-up Comment #2, sr #106310 (project administration): Hi,
You’re right, I’m behind a firewall, even two firewalls and NAT in addition =) Nevertheless, TortoiseCVS-1.10.4 easily connects to its own CVS server. That’s what it writes in a log > In E: Folder1Folder2 Folder3: "C:Program FilesCVSNTcvs.exe" -z3 checkout –P > TortoiseCVS > CVSROOT=:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/tortoisecvs > > Empty password used - try 'cvs login' with a real password > cvs checkout: Updating TortoiseCVS I tried to connect to cvs.savannah.gnu.org having firewalls turned off but failed again. That’s what the program writes in the log when I’m trying to establish anonymous connection > In E: Folder1Folder2 Folder3: "C:Program FilesCVSNTcvs.exe" -Q co -c > CVSROOT=:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/web/fsfe co > > Empty password used - try 'cvs login' with a real password > Cannot access /web/fsfe co/CVSROOT > No such file or directory > > Error, CVS operation failed Didn’t really understand where/web/fsfe co/_CVSROOT_ comes from. I don’t specify it in when entering the command. And when I’m trying to enter it as a member > In E: Folder1Folder2 Folder3: "C:Program FilesCVSNTcvs.exe" -Q co -c > CVSROOT=:ext:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/web/fsfe co fsfe > > cvs checkout: warning: unrecognized response `Unable to open connection:' from cvs server > cvs [checkout aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any) > > Error, CVS operation failed Reinhard told me that I “can ask for help on [EMAIL PROTECTED] where most people with CVS access are subscribed”. I sent a letter there two days ago but it still “is being held until the list moderator can review it for approval”. I think I need to register at the site or maybe it’s even better to contact TortoiseCVS support though the other client also failed to connect to cvs.savannah.gnu.org so it’s not about this program exactly. Thus, in my opinion if there’s no easy way out I’d rather submit translations to the mailing list. It’s a bit uncomfortable method because it takes some time to see the changes on the net but it works stably and I’m pressed for time. Thank you for your reply, Sylvain. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/support/?106310> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
