Hello,
I am sending the list maintainers the archive link and the link to this
request. I believe the way you are de-activating the list is what they were
looking in the beginning. Their request for an archive came, I think, from a
belief that the list would be removed and they wouldn't have access to the
archive.
In the future I will tell maintainers that I am opening a request with
Savannah, I will cc to them and they can make any request about archiving etc
through the help request process.
