Follow-up Comment #1, sr #105540 (project administration):
After examining the configure script I was able to rebuild the kernel with
one change, making the "Default Linux Capabilities" a module instead of
having it built in. Using the 'make menuconfig' utility and selcting the
"security options" and then changing "Default Linux Capabilities" to "M" for
module accomplished the task. Attached are screen shots of the menuconfig
screens.
