I'd like to invite folks representing OSS repositories (and anyone else interested) to a Workshop on developing a distributed software tagging mechanism to assist with software searching. The end goal would be to have a searchable network of metadata to help make software "prior art" more visible to places like the US Patent office to try and reduce the number of bad patents being issued.
