No. I've only used gpg fleetingly in the distant past, and it would be poor
validation.

However, you can validate by emailing to the contact email listed in the
sourcecode of the very project itself: iamsure AT users.sourceforge.net, which
in turn goes to my current email address.

It is documented on savannah:
