Summary: Unable to authenticate on SSH from Windows using Plink Project: Savannah Administration Submitted by: barnraiser Submitted on: Sat 02/26/2005 at 12:44 Category: Developer CVS Priority: 5 - Normal Severity: 3 - Ordinary Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Originator Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Platform Version: Microsoft Windows Open/Closed: Open _______________________________________________________ Details: Hi, I'm having a SSH problem connecting to the CVS from Windows. I've not done this before so expect a stupid reason why I can't..... I have generated a public key (for user: barnraiser) and that's on Savannah and working. I've generated a private key that locally seems to work I am trying to use PuTTY and Plink to connect using SSH so that I can check the authentication. I use: plink -ssh -2 -i C:\priv_key.ppk -l barnraiser savannah.nongnu.org I get back "server refused our key" This key is standard PuTTY key I tried exporting the private key as openSSH and SHH.com, but the server refuses those as "unable to use private key (OpenSSH SSH2 private key) I generate the keys using puttygen.exe, selecting "SSH2 DSA" key with 1024 bits. I'm out of options, desparate and have zero knowledge of SSH authentication:) ....
