Kentaro A. Kurahone <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> described the package as follows:
License: mbsd
Other License:
Package: IoOS/L4
System name: iol4
Type: non-GNU

Description:
IoOS is community project to get Io running as close to the hardware as possible and
to have Io itself used as the "OS". Since Io has namespaces, coroutines and garbage
collection - traditional OS processes, threads and memory spaces are unnecessary.
(Description taken from http://www.iolanguage.com/community/projects/IoOS.html)

The main goal of the project is to utilise the Io programing language interpreter/VM
as an operating system. This requires writing a libc,
and all the support infrastructure/device drivers normally found within
a contemporary operating system. If and where possible it is the goal to write a lot
of the OS code including device drivers in Io.

A prerelease version[0] of this is available at:
http://www.sigusr1.org/kurahone/IoL4-08-25-2003.tar.gz

Other Software Required:
The Io Programing language. (http://www.iolanguage.com)
L4ka::Pistachio. (http://www.l4ka.org) [0]
GNU GRUB (http://www.gnu.org/software/grub/)

[0]: Or any other L4 X.2 complaint implementation.

Other Comments:
This registration is for the IoOS/L4 branch of the IoOS project. It is possible that
at a later time that IoOS/L4 will become IoOS.
