The document is being written in Latex, thus making possible to generate Postscript, HTML and other formats for the manual. It will contain most of the content provided in the official Octave manual, but it will not be a translation. It will have another organization to make it easier for engineering students to learn how to use it, so they can migrate from proprietary solutions to the GPLed Octave.
