A package was submitted to savannah.nongnu.org
This mail was sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Robert Millan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: TCD, a CD player with ncurses interface
System name: tcd
Type: non-GNU

Description:
This project is intend for maintaining the TCD curses-based
CD player for the console. The program was originally authored
by Tim Gerla, then GNOME/GTK+ support was implemented and it got
merged into the gnome-media package. After that, it was replaced
in gnome-media by a GNOME-specific CD player and silently disappeared.

At this time, the program is completely orphaned by Tim (I even
contacted him by phone call), so i took the newest code corresponding
to the ncurses frontend and made a curses-only package. I verified that all the
sources taken from gnome-media are properly licensed under the GNU GPL for me to use
them.

The program has been available in the Debian archive for a while:

http://packages.debian.org/tcd

Where i could find there are debian users interested to participate on its
maintainance, hence i request the creation of this Savannah project.

Other Software Required:
- ncurses
- currently the kernel Linux too (for the ioctls), but i intend to replace this
dependency with the portability library "libcdio"
