Sergio López <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> described the package as follows: License: gpl Other License: Package: Bee GNU/Hurd System name: bee Type: non-GNU Description: The Bee GNU/Hurd Project. This is a project to develop an alternative Hurd-only distribution, oriented to medium users and developers. The long time objetive is to provide a stable, coherent and complete environment, so future Hurd's new developers will feel confortable to work on it. The package system is lightly similar to *BSD, there's three separate tarballs witch provide Root, USR and Compilation files (bee-base, bee-usr and bee-comp), and another tarball depending of the subpackage system desired: bee-pkgsrc, bee-debian or bee-portage. At this time, only pkgsrc is implemented (wich is intended to the the main option), but others are planned to be implemented in the future. We are even thinking about the posbility of have 2 or more subpackage system installed and working at the same time. For the pkgsrc, we are working with the oficial tree of NetBSD, so standard applications will be taken from that (sending the patches to nbsd developers, if proceed), and Hurd specific packages will be in a separate repository. At this time, there are no much source code to see, because the main work is to repackage all the apps needed by the base, usr, comp and subpackage tarballs, but you can find more information about this project on this URLs: ftp://kuduk.no-ip.com/incoming - Repository of tarballs http://es.gnu.org/bee http://es.gnu.org/cgi-bin/beewiki.pl?Wiki_Bee_GNU Thanks for your time. Other Software Required: Because this project is an entire distribution, the number of dependencies is too large to be listed.
