I admit it can be confusing: "When prompted for a password for 
anoncvs, simply press the Enter key" means that the password for 
anoncvs is empty, not anoncvs.

According to instructions at autoconf CVS page, it 
should be possible to access the server. The password 
'anoncvs' is not accepted. Please investigate.
