Hauke Fath <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> described the package as follows:
License: lgpl
Other License:
Package: Portable SAP DB
System name: sapdb-ports
Type: non-GNU

Description:
A while back, SAP AG has made its enterprise-level database, the SAPDB, open source
under the LGPL. www.sapdb.org maintains ports to win32, various unices and some linux
distributions, which leaves other linux distributions (e.g. Debian), and the BSDs to
volunteers.

Currently, the sources are made \"portable\" by applying os-specific selectors (SVR4,
sun, ...). The proposed project plans to convert first the sources for the toolkit
that is necessary to build the sapdb, and later the sapdb sources themselves to a GNU
autotools based setup.

We plan to sync with sapdb.org regularly.
