Hi, This problem is known to me for quite some time, and I'm quite sure I've reported it several years ago, but (ironically) I cannot find that report in my archives ;-)
The problem I'd like to report is that searching the archives of GNU mailing lists is unable to find hits in recent years. For example, if you go to https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/emacs-devel/2024-11/index.html which is one month ago, you will see that the first archived message in Nov 2024 was Re: yank-media: allow users to limit image types that can be inserted. Now go to https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/emacs-devel/ type "yank-media" into the "Search String" box, and click "Search!" -- the result is zero(!) hits. If you now change the search string to just "media", and select sorting "in chronological order", the latest hit you get is from 25 Feb 2021. If you use "yank" as the search string, the latest hit is from 19 Mar 2021. Moreover, even if you go to https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/emacs-devel/2024-11/index.html and type "yank-media" into the search box at the top of the page, you get zero hits, even though there were 8 messages in Nov 2024 whose Subject included "yank-media". Sounds like some issue with indexing of the archives? Can this please be fixed? Thanks.
