I'm reluctant to remove any published announcements, it smells like
rewriting history.  I believe when mistakes are found,
a counter-announcement should be made instead;
and I see nothing crucially wrong in that particular item.

Savannah web interface has no means to remove news,
only a "quarantine" area where the new items can be checked
before "approving" them.
