Dora, Jeffrey, all, I have finally set up the mirmon instance for all ftp.gnu.org mirrors, not just http. Sorry it took me so long. The results page is here: http://download.savannah.gnu.org/mirmon/allgnu/ Not surprisingly, there are plenty of ftp and rsync failures (and plenty of successes, too) for you to pursue if you wish.
Sv folk: I updated http://savannah.gnu.org/maintenance/Mirmon with info about this, among other things. It is a confusing area, and the names are not the best, but FWIW, nothing very difficult is actually going on. It's all just massaging host lists from format X to format Y. Best, Karl
