I am running an up-to-date version of Ubuntu Mate 16.04 (sane package version 1.0.14-11). This scanner has worked fine in the past, but only because I edited some sort of resolution file. I recently blew away my install and did a complete switch of distros, so I think I lost that edit.
Flatbed scan is fine, but selecting (ADF) causes either the X coordinate or Y coordinate to exceed the maximum value.Exceeds is mis-spelled in the error message (Exceedes), by the way. I'm using gscan2pdf as the front-end. If I change the "max x" to 215 in the manual setting; the scan works.
