Hi,

made some update from I think 12.04 to 14.04 - now normal users, as well
as saned cannot scan anymore:

florian@Kastl:~$ scanimage -L

No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different,
check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the
sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation
which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages).

florian@Kastl:~$ sudo scanimage -L
[sudo] password for florian:
device `plustek:libusb:003:004' is a Canon CanoScan N650U/N656U flatbed
scanner
florian@Kastl:~$ user
useradd      userdel      usermod      users        users-admin

florian@Kastl:~$ id florian
uid=1000(florian) gid=1000(florian)
groups=1000(florian),4(adm),20(dialout),24(cdrom),44(video),46(plugdev),106(mythtv),113(lpadmin),116(sambashare),121(admin),122(saned),131(scanner)

As you can see I am in groups saned and scanner, and it still does not
work without sudo. Any ideas?

BR Florian
