Hi, Thanks for the update, looks like the latest sane-find-scanner does not think it is a currently-known Genesys chip. Since the scanner is old, it could be an older Genesys or similar chip, or else something entirely different and unknown (see below). Perhaps you could do a UsbSnoop scan under Windows XP (virtual one under Windows 7 probably will work too) of the smallest area you can possibly mark with the windows driver (probably something like 4mm by 4mm or so). Zip that up and send it directly to me by mail to have a look at (the mailing list won't accept such large attachments).
