hello everybody I'm trying to get an HP scanjet pro 3000 s2 to work on debian or opensuse. The question has already been asked here. you can see references at the bottom of the mail
As lsusb finds it, but scanimage -L not, and after some lurking in [COMPAT], and [DEV], i found that there is no official backend for sane yet. Some sane developer, working for hp, seems [DRIVER] to have provided privately an unofficial driver. HP do anyone one the list knows how to get in touch with this developer? Is this scanner backend in the roadmap? http://www.sane-project.org/sane-mfgs.html#SCANNERS [COMPAT] http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/sane-devel/2012-April/029758.html [DEV] httporums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/474338-How-to-get-HP-Scanjet-Professional-3000-working-with-OpenSuse-12-1 [DRIVER]
