I compile dvb drivers after kernel updates quite often, so this is
not completely new to me, but I had some trouble with sane and
haven't gotten it to work. First of all this is Ubuntu 14.10 64 I followed the steps outlined here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/CompileSaneFromSource Installed the dependencies and pulled the source just fine. Installed the libraries to /usr/lib/sane So, make and make install ran and I have a directory full of drivers but running scanimage -L with root or not doesn't find anything. I checked that /etc/ld.so.conf includes /usr/lib but still nothing As you can tell I don't do this professionally. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
